Equipedata Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Equipedata will process your personal data when you contact us or use our Services. The owners of the website www.equipedata.com ("Equipedata") are the data controllers of the personal data we process, unless otherwise specified.

What personal data do we collect?

Monitoring the access token and app activities

By connecting to the Services through a Tracking App (for example Strava), you grant Equipedata access to your public and private activities and to your personal data on that app. In order to provide our Services, we need to store an API access token so that we can perform certain read operations on your behalf without needing to know your password. We also store all your cycling activities recorded on the tracking app (rides, virtual rides, e-bike rides, and so on) in order to give you quick access to your data.

Your name and your email

We need your name and your email address to personalize the Services, manage your account, provide assistance, and send relevant communications (which may include notices necessary for the Services, alerts about short outages of the Site, and more). We collect this information from the tracking apps you may use for authentication (for example Strava) or from Equipedata itself.

Anonymous usage data

We collect some anonymous data relating to usage of the Services and to errors in order to maintain and improve them.

Transmission of personal information occurs at your own risk.

How do we share information?

We do not share any personal information with third parties.

How long do we keep information?

Equipedata Terms of Service

The Equipedata websites, mobile and web applications, and services (the "Services") are provided to you (the "User") by the owners of www.equipedata.com ("Equipedata") and are subject to these Terms of Service (the "Terms") and to the Privacy Policy referenced below. By accessing or using the Services, or by creating an account through any of the available mechanisms, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not access or use the Services.

Service

The Services offered by Equipedata allow the User to monitor and download, in an automatic and private way, their own data in order to analyze the statistics provided. In order for Equipedata to provide the Services, the User must connect through a third-party activity tracking site ("Tracking App") and allow access to the data necessary for provision of the Services. This data includes personal data, health and location data of the user, equipment data, and activities.

Equipedata reserves the right to modify or remove any existing functionality, as well as connectivity with any Tracking App, at any time and for any reason in its sole discretion.

Access

Access to the Services may involve costs depending on any optional plans subscribed to by the User, the device platform used and its related app store, as well as the User's country and settings. The optional plans offered to the User are available on the website www.equipedata.com, including for the web application.

Your account

The Services rely exclusively on Tracking Apps (currently only Strava) for authentication and never have access to the User's password for those apps. The User can revoke the Services' access to Strava at any time in the relevant Equipedata and Strava sections. The User can completely delete their account and all related data present on Equipedata at any time directly from the web (for more information, see our Privacy Policy). Equipedata reserves the right to deny access to the Services and to close accounts if the User violates these Terms.

Privacy

Equipedata considers the user's privacy to be a fundamental element of the service. For more information, see the Privacy Policy.

Liability

The information, software, products, services, and content available through the Services are provided "as is" and without any warranty. By using the Service, you expressly agree that Equipedata shall in no way be liable for any damages suffered by you, by third parties, or by property.

Refunds

Because of the free-of-charge way in which the Services are provided to the User, Equipedata cannot offer refunds of any kind.

Modification of the Terms

Equipedata reserves the right to update the Terms at any time and for any reason in its sole discretion. Equipedata will inform the User of any significant changes to the Terms.
